How to add a new books in library master?

Following Steps to be followed-

1. Click on book menu item to enter all information about each book, book master displays as shown in below figure.( Please make sure that book category, book publishers, book vendor, book author is created before going ahead with these steps ) If not created, we need to create them first and then we can add a book.

2. Click on add (+) button for adding new book to book masters. Below shown window get popped up.

3. Enter reference no.* which is reference number & Book ID will be automatically generated a unique number.

4. Enter the mandatory details of the book like title, book category, purchased date, vendor, published year & price. Which is obtained from previous section updates.

5. If the book is a reference book, then enable Is Reference Book.[Note: Reference books cannot be issued, it can be referred by students only in library.

6. All other details in book details are optional to fill.

7. Now, select add button.

8.Repeat same steps for adding next book.

9.The Circled information will be fetched from heir respective sections. Therefore we need to update all the basic information and then add a book.

Note: (*) Symbol indicates that this particular field should to be filled. Else it will not proceed further. And also throw an error message as “Validation Error: Value is required.”

 For example- if you want to add new English Grammar book then following the below mentioned steps.

1. Click on add (+) button for adding new book to book masters.
2. Enter the mandatory details of the book like reference no.*, title*, language.

     Reference no*- 15
     Title*- English Grammar
     Description- Detailed description of the book

     Language- Which language the book is English/kannada…

     Published date*-20/02/1978

3. Select the mandatory details like book category, author, publisher, location fromdrop down menu

   Book category*-General
     Author*- name of the book author
     Publisher*- Suresh

     Location*-Where the book needs to be kept like in 1^st row, 2^nd row…

     Inserting image of the book will be optional field to fill.

4. If reference book field is enabled, then it will be maintained as reference copy and it will not allow the user to issue this particular book.

5.Now, select add button.

You will get a Book Successfully added message in the Screen. You can repeat the same steps to add another book.
